Privacy Policy

When you register, we collect your name, email address, password hash, registration type, and the date, policy version, and network address associated with your privacy acknowledgment. We never store your plain-text password. If you purchase Advanced membership, we store the payment processor's customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, renewal date, and cancellation state; we do not store complete card details.

If you choose to configure a home location, we store its latitude and longitude. Signed-in usage records may include pages visited, access times, browser and platform details, screen and viewport dimensions, device pixel ratio, touch capability, and document search history. We also store feedback, flagged flights, story viewing progress, document annotations, and timestamped story comments that you submit.

If you sign a petition, we collect your name, email, street address, municipality, ZIP code, optional comment, and public-display choice. We use contact and address information to validate signatures and present the petition to public officials. Only your name, municipality, and comment may be displayed publicly, and only when you choose public display; your email and street address are not published.

We use account information to authenticate you and provide private features. Optional home coordinates are used to draw your home rings and calculate reports about flights near that location. Usage and device information helps us diagnose failures, improve layouts, understand site demand, protect the service, and plan performance improvements.

Story progress enables commenting after a completed viewing. Story comments are associated with your account so they can be displayed during later playback and reviewed by site administrators. Registration network addresses are used for abuse prevention and to document policy acknowledgment.

Flight tracks, aircraft identifiers, registry ownership, altitude, and modeled noise information come from public or licensed aviation and geographic sources. Your account information and configured home location are not published as aircraft data. Reports capable of identifying a user's location are restricted to that user and authorized administrators.

HVRA Tracker uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember necessary preferences. Cloudflare provides network delivery, security, and media storage; Stripe processes membership payments; our hosting and email providers process data needed to operate the service. Map-tile and externally linked services may receive ordinary request information such as your network address and browser details. We do not sell personal information.

We retain account and preference information while your account remains active and keep operational, security, and comment records only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. We limit administrative access and use technical safeguards appropriate to the information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Providing a home location is optional, and you can remove it in Settings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by emailing [email protected]. Some limited records may be retained where reasonably required for security or legal obligations. Marketing messages, if introduced, will require a separate choice and are not authorized by registering.

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, presented to registered users for renewed acknowledgment.
